So far, my attempts at relocating the writing organs has been somewhat successful. I have gone to my new “office” twice so far, and both times managed to come out with a collection of words … maybe even some worth reading. Last time it was a couple of blog posts. This time a blog post again, but that was while waiting for something to download. But I manage to actually push out a couple of thousand words in one of my manuscripts, almost finishing a chapter that has been eluding me for quite some town now. It is a key chapter in forwarding the story along the path it has chosen, and I was having a lot of difficulty finding the words to make it happen. It did not help that I also lost my motivation and energy … especially while at home. I am not sure it is just a renewal in desire or the change of scenery is actually helping, but either way it seems to be working right now.

There is one slight drawback though. Since I am now sitting at a bar, for several hours, the temptation to spend money that I really can’t afford to spend on snacks and maybe even the occasional drink is pretty strong. So I also need to beef up the discipline, which is my true weak spot. The challenge is on!

Quick not to any of my female readers (I am allowing myself the delusion that I have many 🙂 ). A friend of my sister’s (Woman Wielding Words) is doing an article for Ladies Home Journal. She needs some contributions from woman ages 35 – 55 who are from the US. What she is looking for is real stories of random acts of kindness any woman may care to share. If anyone is interested, please comment here, or let my sister know on her blog! Thanks all! 😀

It is amazing what having a chat with the right people can do. Some people offer encouragement. Some offer empathy. Then there are those that offer a good bitch slap upside the head and say get on with it already. Whatever did the trick, I managed  to pump a few more words out on one of the novels, and have enough ideas floating around still to maybe even continue for a day or three. We shall see. For those who are care, the current word count is now:

It is time that the big money maker’s remember where their money comes from. It’s a simple matter of respect for your customers …

Have you ever been asked the question: “What would you do if you knew you were going to die tomorrow?” I know I have many times, or some variation of this. And how I answered changed depending on how serious the questioner and frankly the day I was asked.

It just dawned on me we all have the chance to live up our own words. For all of those who believe (or at least fear some truth) in the concept that the world is going to end this Friday … well you only have a few days left! What are you going to do with them? Time to put your money where your mouth is guys!

And you might want to add a few things to the list. Like what will you do to celebrate in the off-chance that Saturday comes and the world has NOT actually ended. How you gonna change things now that you have a second chance?

I am serious here people. Maybe what we have here is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If the world doesn’t go puff, we can still change it overnight. Maybe the legend means the world AS WE KNOW IT NOW will end … a new age for mankind. What do you think? It’s up to each of us really. It’s NOW time folks!

Need I say more?

For those who actually look forward to what emerges from my noggin … that is if such people exist … I needed a few days to stop and just breath for a change. Sometimes the old noggin goes a little haywire with all the bits an pieces o’ thought flying about, and I have to shut everything off for a few days … kind of like a hard reset. But I am still about if anyone is wondering. Should be back in the flow in the next day or two. 😀
